Do you know the best way we have to improve the world?
Exactly, playing.
The Play for Change project is much more than a stamp we put on our games. Play for Change is Cayro’s promise that our products will be made in the currently most sustainable way.
When we talk about working with the Play for Change philosophy this is what we mean:
- Using recycled or recyclable materials for all the components of our games, from the packaging to the last piece
- Using paints and polishes that contaminate much less than the usual ones.
- Eliminating single-use plastics.
- Adapting the box sizes to achieve the minimum empty space inside them.
- Using inclusive language in our games' instructions.
- Creating games that help to raise our awareness on respect for the environment, on public spirit and on non-differentiation of roles for reasons of gender.
- Progressively increasing the production of games in Spain, today rising to 15% of our catalogue, generating employment, reducing emissions and transport costs, and improving delivery times
- Wherever possible using local suppliers which, in addition to all the environmental and financial benefits for the natural surroundings, enables us to better control the final quality of the games
- With a policy on conditions of work that benefits conciliation, non-discrimination, equality and the struggle against the gender gap.
- Developing initiatives such as "Games Class & Games with Class" with which we introduce play and emotional education to classes as a teaching tool for the school community
- With the mentality of continuous improvement which enables all these measures to be replaced by others if this means doing things better, for the environment and for our society.
